Kuku Big Bag is a brand of handcrafted, modern and functionally designed leather accessories, satchels, backpacks and bicycle panniers. They are designed for creative professionals who desire quality, traditionally made bags and accessories. The unique designs are bold, using contrasting colours and a juxtaposition of shapes to make an aesthetic statement. Kuku Big Bags are produced using traditional leather working techniques.

Kuku Big Bags are inspired first and foremost by contemporary designs and lifestyle. In the recent time spent in the Netherlands, Kuku Big Bag has been highly influenced by the dutch creative culture, their love for functional design and most important of all, their products that are designed around their mobile, cycling culture. These influences of contemporary, minimalist, functional designs ideas eventually set the boundaries of the Kuku Big Bag creative language.

Achtergrond

Kuku Big Bag is a collection of leather products using traditional leather working techniques. Designer and maker, Candice Lau learnt her skills at the London College of Fashion and the Alri Workshop in Hong Kong. Now, she is refining her craft with Andy Bates, master of creating mediaeval leather products from around the Hadrian's Wall, UK.
